Web 2.0... The Machine is Us/ing Us
Several blogs I've read recently have posted this video, Web 2.0... The Machine is Us/ing Us, for discussion. It is the ongoing creation of Michael Wesch, Assistant Professor of Cultural Anthropology at Kansas State University. It is his representation of the evolving Internet. I think the video accurately depicts the speed at which technology (specifically the Internet) is changing. His points are clearly made at the end...
We’ll need to rethink a few things… copyright, authorship, identity, ethics, aesthetics, rhetorics, governance, privacy, commerce, love, family, ourselves.I'd also insert education. How do we prepare our students for a rapidly changing and unpredictable world? Take time to watch the video (4:30 min).
